Covers That Make You Cringe

I don't know how I came across this but Keith Richards version of Gram Parsons' "Hickory Wind" is the worst example I can think of.  Granted, Keith hasn't been the same since he fell out of the coconut tree, and yes Gram Parsons was a huge influence on the Stones classic album "Sticky Fingers", and yes Keith never had a great voice (although he does sing a few great tunes), but Man-Oh-Man is that BRUTAL.

If you are not familiar with Gram Parsons, well...that's a shame.  This is a beautiful song (see EmmyLou Harris or Gilian Welch performances).

One of my buddies and I, a long time ago made a tape (yes, a tape!) of respectable artists doing bad covers.  If I can find it, I'll share the song list.
