Anyone prefer-09s

With all the talk of the 03 models lately and what a great deal they are for such a quality instrument, which I totally agree with, I just wanted to remind everyone how nice the upper end models are as well. As much as I love the 03s your not going to find wood like this on any of them. 1999 Namm Show OMV-09 Koa/Adi.

Now I see how you were able to part with the L-10.  That's a fantastic looking guitar.  I think most informed guitar enthusiasts would agree that Larrivee makes incredible guitars from the 03 series on up.  There's something for everyone.   Congratulations on the new OMV-09.    Let me know if you ever want to part with this one !

I'm jealous but very happy for you.

Actually this was the first Larrivee I ever bought. I've had it about 3 years now. It's what started the obsession.

I do have a used left hand 000-50 coming from the 12th fret, so I will be reluctantly selling off a guitar or two, but as my wife has told me this one is a keeper.

Don't for get the 05s though...As much as I love my 03BW the 05mt is still my baby...she has tone to die for and it will only get better as she ages!!!  I really appreciate that Larrivee has such wonderful bargins for their "entry" level guitars but their upper echelon is still a comparative bargin and they are fantastic to look at and play.

Do we have to look at your OM-05MT again?  :laughin: :humour: Just kidding Blue, she's a looker for sure. And I know from your sound clips that she got the voice to go along with that pretty face. And yes the 05s are awesome as well, I should know I have a lefty C-05 that's dynamite.

I prefer the 09's over the 03R's. I don't know why but i clearly prefer gloss on a rosewood guitar.

That is a fine looking guitar.  You'll never see something on an O3 looking like that.

My vote's changed from the 03 series to the 05 series just because I love how Larrivee does mahogany which is no longer an option with the 03 series. As for rosewood, even though I love my OM-03R I think my next rosewood guitar will probably be a Martin. I have years to change my mind before that will come to pass though.
