Hello Everyone,

Im new here and this is my first post! Anyway, theres a local Guitar Center buy me thats selling a Larrivee 00-5. I cant seem to find ANY info anywhere about this guitar. Does anyone know the specs of it? What years they where made from and how much the list price was?

Thanks for help!

Although that guitar seems nice, I dont think thats it. Heres a pic of the guitar. Anyone have ANY info at all?

I think they've got the wrong photo, that's a standard L-03.

Thank you! Thats what I thought.

like Denis said that pic you posted is of a L-03. It list for $1198.
More info on Larrivee's site http://www.larrivee.com/flash/products/guitars/L-03/l03.html

Those are great guitars.

If that guitar pictured is the one savs165 is interested in, then technically they have the name wrong and not wrong the photo. (just in case there is any confusion).

Yup.  But I'd be more than a little disappointed if I thought I was getting an 00-05 and got an L-03 instead.

...and several other guitars.  Former Larrivees: P-01, OM-03R SH (Twelfth Fret special edition), P-01 Chris Hadfield special edition

Just out of curiosity, is it possible its an L-05? I looked on the Larrivee site and they look very similar, although I cant find either without a pickguard. If it is an L-03, and they are asking $899 for a used one (with the list being $1149) thats a little insane. Im going to go look at it tonight so Ill keep you guys posted.

No, not an L-05.  The L-05 has an abalone rosette around the soundhole and a pearl logo w/ sterling silver border on the headstock.  The newer ones also come with ebonite tuner buttons and a bone saddle and bridge.  That L-03 is an older one too.  I can't make out the label completely but it looks to be before they actually put the model numbers on there.  That and the clear pickguard..today, and for the last 3+ years now, they've been using tortoise pickguards.

If they want $899(is that in US$?) for it and it's used, then start looking elsewhere.  I paid nearly $150 less for a new one and that included shipping from the US to Canada!!  You can contact Jim Holler at www.trinityguitars.com or Jason at www.notableguitars.com or Dave at www.guitaradoptions.com and they will have them for much better prices for a new one.  It might be a sapele version as they don't make them in mahogany anymore but I've tried a sapele L-03 and they are every bit as good as the mahogany version and that includes the one at my house.

Here is the only photo of my O-05.
Gloss top, Abalone rosette, solid headstock.

I paid $675.00 before the parlor price boom.
The Dude abides.

I dont suppose anyone has the ability to focus in on the sound hole of my pic to see what it says do they?

Near as I can tell, the label looks to be one of the first run of 03...they had the model and serial number on the label backj then and if memory serves, the early 03 series L's had 1 11/16" nuts instead of the the now standard 1 3/4".
