Does anyone have a subsciption to this mag?
I took one out over the internet in early march.
bought two years worth and got a free set of strings
I am thinking I paid $70 U.S. for a set of strings?
wonder if I was taken?
Anyone know when the next/last issue is due?

Hi D4ave,

Edited 5-6-04: My bad!  I was thinking of a different magazine - John Knowles "Fingerstyle Quarterly".  Found the following on Main String Music site:

John Knowles Fingerstyle Quarterly
The Fingerstyle Quarterly is a way for fingerstyle guitarists to get lessons when they don't have access to a live teacher. Fingerstyle guro John Knowles publishes unique fingerstyle arrangements in tab of guitar music by Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Knowles, and various standards. The subscription fee of $60/yr includes four issues of lessons which include cassette tapes of all materials. Recommended. Write Fingerstyle Quarterly, PO Box 120355 Nashville TN 37212 or send Mr. Knowles e-mail at JohnKnowle@aol.com

Note: I think he's moved so the address may be out of date.

Original post:
Don't worry, Fingerstyle Guitar is a great magazine.  Each issue contains several songs in tab and music note with CD.  I subscribed for a year - It comes quarterly. It's a great source of material for Chet Atkins style arrangements.   To be honost, I only learned one tune from the several issues I received.  The author, John Knowles is a great player and teacher.  I love hearing his arrangements (even bought a CD), but I found them difficult to play.  On the Homespun scale I'd rate it level 4 stuff (1= beginner 4=advanced).

Hope this helps.

It is a great magazine, but I thought it came out bimonthly? My Borders is behind on the times and I was hoping that there was a new one coming out. The most recent one I have is with Don McLean on the cover.
