I am making some tuner buttons out of a deer antler and I need to know how to remove the old ones. I notice the screw on the button, but are they glued as well? will I need to heat them? is tehr an insert I need to put in the button I am making?

Thanks

unscrewing the screw will allow you to lift the button off.I would remove one to use as a template for the new ones your macking.

When you remove the button, be very careful not to lose the tiny washer that goes between the button and the tuner, they are almost impossible to find on a carpet, and good luck finding a replacement if you do lose it (Been there...)

No heat they are held in by the screw.
