Hi There,

Does Larrivee still make this model? I don't see it listed on their website. Are you in Canada or US - are the $ US or CDN?

Thanks a lot.

To be honest. I don't know if Larrivee will make an LSV-05 as a special order, but 12th Fret quoted me a price awhile back so I think that means they will.  I think the LSV-11's are Larrivee's main focus now.
I am in the US (US$).
I have not played the LSV-11 but I think they have increased the nut size to 1 13/16" and of course it has rosewood back and sides. The 05 has a 1/3/4"nut with mahogany B&S.
The dimesnions are  as follows:

    * 15" lower bout
    * 11" upper bout
    * 9 3/4" waist
    * 4" depth (4 1/4" depth at end pin)

Okay, here are a few pics:

The flakey/spots of white are pollen type stuff from my trees.... really!

Must... stop... watching. :SHK>

Good luck with your sale!

I guess there is always room for a 2nd LSV-05 ;) (but then my family and girlfriend would probably shoot me), and a D-28, and a OMV03R, hahaha.  Too many good instruments I want.

OM-18V

Price Adjustment... $1150 $1100 including shipping to CONUS.
Trades will be considered for the next 24 hours or so... I have to make payment on another guitar or cancel the order... I would consider an LV-05, 09 or maybe even a C-05... if there is on out there. Lowdens and Avalons a possibilities too, but a cut away is required.

What a stunning guitar! I'm looking for a parlor, but this makes me want to reconsider, despite the higher price. Any idea how the sound of this compares to the LV-05 or the OM-05 (or even the mahogany parlor)? Good luck with the sale!

I have owned an OMV-05 and an L-03K... The LSV-05 is closer to the OMV than the L-body both in size and sound. In fact, I think this LSV has more projection than the OMV I had. But my OMV had a cedar top and this has a sitka spruce top which might account for the difference. All I can say is this a cool little guitar any way you play it...
Here is what the Twelfth fret's website has to say about the LS body style from Larrivee:

"The LS 's smaller body is very comfortable to hold,  produces excellent balance and a surprisingly full overall tonality along with the signature Larrivee clarity and complex overtone series.  I would have to say this would be one of my picks for my desert island guitar collection!"

I hope this helps.

Hard to believe no one's jumped on this one yet.  I had one before and miss it often.  Truly on of Larrivee's best models.  Good luck with the sale/trade.

Would you consider a new L-05 (serial number 84,xxx) as a trade?

I'd rather have an LV-05.... Guvnor

 :<> Aaaggghhh...this is killing me.  Make it go away.  I have this guitar's wonderful big sister (brother?) - L-05, but would love to try the slightly smaller body, and what a pretty cutaway.  Unfortunately, neither finances (nor husband) are currently in the proper state for this one :TON>
