I'm not going to be any help with pics, Rob.  I always have problems with the picture posting thing, too.  Maybe this might work:

There you go:

In the "Reply" window, you click on the icon and you insert the internet address of the image in between img]  and  [/img. It has to be the address of the image, not the address of the page in which the image is. (Am I making sense to you?)

So, If I insert the following: http://www.gbase.com/files/store_images/rpj_guitar_works/1600471/photo1_90853.jpg between img]  and  [/img, this will happen:

Go ahead and try. Let me know if you have anay problems and I will post images of the window to illustrate each step.

By the way PortHueneme blames me for starting him on his Larrivee adventure.I'm an evil, evil man.......... :laughin: :roll :thumbsup

Oh, but I love this road. It is one of the GREATEST road trips of my life.
I feel blessed for many things in my life (and cursed for many more), but my love of music and being able to play is definitely high on my list.
While we don't get the chance to play together on this forum, I sure enjoy hanging out with all of you and doing my second favorite guitar thing.

i'm parting with my larrivee uke. it's a us10ka. hopefully ebay will be good to me. i'll see if i can't get a 'guitar-porn' pic or two of it up here in a way where it will hang around for awhile. these things are scarce and beautiful! there used to be a pic of one like mine somewhere on the web, but now i can't find it. should be some pics kept here, just for reference...

Hey, jwb :

For many people, I would say get a cheapy and see if you like it.

As a Larrivee guitar pl;ayer, you already have a thing for quality. I would skip the cheapy step and go for something nice.

And, as seems to be happening for many guitarists, you will probably LOVE playing uke.

So get the good'un.

By the way, here's a custom made one I had done for me by the admin of a uke forum. It was WAY WAY less expensive than Larrivee's or old Martins: PM me if you want specifics.

I think that basically it's the same inlay as is on the "California Special" guitar model.  I believe this was the NAMM model of uke.  I got it from Dave, at GA.

Ahhhhh the flames...my eyes are rolling back in my head...That uke is stunning.  I am getting this weakness for KOA that is blurring my senses, and making me get a bad case of the "I wants" lately.

el guitana...very nice custom uke there.  Similar to the maple/RW martin custom guitar that dermont posted a picture of in the "forum guitar" area.  I appreciate the advice on what to look for.  I know that I would want a quality instrument...I'm sure I would play the uke a lot once I got my hands on one.

dlcjr:  do you still have yours for sale???  I'm still in the market for one!

No relation to Uke or seller, just thought of this thread when I saw it...

that's my uke on ebay. i didn't want to get spammy on the board about trying to sell it, but i do hope it goes to someone who will really appreciate what it is.

No reason to think of yourself as spammy. Myself? I would have spoken up. If nothing else, pop over to the "for sale" section and list it. That's why we all belong here. To share our common interest.

I'm bidding on it currently.  I've never bought an instrument on ebay...but you gotta do what you gotta do.  I buy and sell guitars through this forum pretty frequently, so don't be worried about my 1 ebay rating...I'm good for the deal if I win.  It is a beautiful instrument, and will be greatly appreciated by anyone who gets it I'm sure.  They reason I asked you if you were willling "to put a price on it" was just to see if I could come down to Cape Coral (not far from me) and buy it from you.  The old-fashioned way, right?  Welcome to the forum!  Do you own any other Larrivee instruments?  :cheers  :donut :donut2
