:gotpics: has anyone tried replacing that 6th latch on their hard case for acoustics? What brand is the latch and perhaps any help on DIY. Thank you I know that I could take it to a place 30 miles from here but they'll charge me $75 and I think I'm pretty handy. Maybe lol

Good post from Herman. The only thing I can add is to make sure the screws do not have any chance of touching the guitar body. That seems obvious but I had a nice Larrivee get a 'squiggle' in the side body and I could not figure out why. Turned out, when the case padding was compressed, the latch screw poked through enough to scratch the guitar.

Get a pack of Chicago style binding screws.  Amazon has them in various lengths for approx $10 as I recall.   I bought some for the same task.  A little threadlock and they won't come loose.
