Straps, What's your favorite?

What's your favorite strap? Narrow, wide, fabric, leather/suede?

I see prices all over the place from real cheap to insanely expensive.

The nicest strap I ever found was a leather strap made especially for Gruhn Guitars by Long Hollow Leather from Franklin, TN. The strap was stamped with the Gruhn Guitar name and is 100% leather, no vinyl or metal buckles or parts to scratch the guitar. Unfortunately, the third generation owner of Long Hollow Leather passed away last summer so they are difficult to find.

Having said that, I have a leather Larrivee bi-fold wallet that is really nice. I'm considering one of the Artist Series straps to use with my Forum VI and LV03 12 string. Now I have to decide between chestnut brown and dark brown, but I have to add the strap tie-off.

Straps? Brings me back to Catholic school and Sister St. Dominatrix.

Somehow, I find that very believable :whistling: .

My wife's family all went to catholic schools until they were in high school. My brother in law commented that kids didn't need Ritalin in the early 60s because the nuns all carried a ruler to hold their attention.

A ruler? You can't hold your guitar up with a ruler.

My parents were asked to remove from catholic school because I broke a nun's foot with a brass ruler. She should have never put me under her desk because I wouldn't put the garbage can on my head and she shouldn't have kicked me every time I move.I was in the 3rd grade.
As for straps if standing I still prefer the old style that had a small patch for the shoulder/But alas I sit now and don't need one.

Thanks TEH for the response, I'd have liked a few more about actual guitar straps.

I did however find and made use of the *ignore feature*, I like that.

I've used both all leather and hemp straps - like the look and feel of leather, but the "vintage" hemp straps are really light, and easy to adjust. I keep the buckle way away from the body of the guitar. Hemp guitar straps
