Not so much on my desktop but on my laptop I can't stay logged in.  I have to log in each time I get to the site but then I am logged out when I go to another page.  Can't stay logged in even when I'm on the site.  Could not post this question on my laptop due being logged out on any change of page.

On my desktop, I have to log in each time I access the site but do stay logged in when going from page to page.  And, I enter 'forever' each time I log in.  Changed my password but that has had no effect either.

Suppose it could be a setting at my end but I've tried various things to no success so far.

Suggestions?
Thanks
Ralph

I have problems logging in, responding, and replying to PM's. I am forever being told that success is 60 seconds in my future.... including when I tried to log in now.
Anyway, I suggest re-writing your post into two verses, a refrain and a third verse in simple meter and play it along with 3 chords, I think it would be a hit

Perhaps you will see two opportunities to login. One of the top of the page and another at the bottom of the screen on the right. If you login at the bottom you have the option to "stay logged in".
You might try this.

There are two places to do the login and both offer the opportunity to 'remember me'.  On my screen, on the left side I have an option of how long to stay logged in and I usually set it to 'forever'.  I'm on my PC now and no issues.  Earlier this am I was on my laptop and couldn't log in with the remembered login details.  When I input the correct info - name/password - I get a mssg that I have entered something wrong.

I've checked settings on my laptop and see nothing obvious.  Irritating but not critical since I can still access the site on my PC.

Is it possible that you have *browser* settings to clear after each use, like history or cache ?

Just a thought.

Checked that as well, Rockysdad.  But this site is the only one I'm having this issue with.

The strange thing is that when I can sign in with my laptop on the main page, once I move to another page, such as this one, I'm logged out automatically.  And, when I then try to sign in being on this page as 'guest', I get moved to a sign in page that tells me I have the wrong password/id so I can't even sign in on another page to do a response such as this.

I get a lot of strange bugs on this site like login and "your last post was less than 60 seconds ago" errors. It happened more when I posted from both my phone and pc so I mostly just use one or the other now. On the phone, I use desktop mode and it's a bit more stable.

I get that now and then with this forum.  Usually, I close the page (and browser) and try again in a half hour.  It clears itself up.

I chalk it up to MES.  (Mysterious Electronic Sh.....   tuff.)

On your laptop when you run into this aberrant behavior try a different browser.
(You never mentioned which browser(s) you are using but I assume you have options.)

Just now I had to endure a message that I had to wait 60 seconds to try to log in again. I ignored it, logged in ok.
This is not a big deal, like there is a nuke about to go off and we need to warn everyone to duck and cover.
There are a few "snappy comebacks" from me that the group has been spared due to these intermittent problems.
Probably a good thing.
On the other hand, you probably don't want to coordinate a Forum guitar with a slow satellite internet connection and 60 seconds delays while trying to talk someone out of a wild idea.
:bgrin:
