SD-40 coming soon (I hope)

Okay, I'm at 4 months on my custom SD-40 order (Alpine moon spruce and enlarged sound hole). I was told 4-5 months. I hope that's right. I'm getting antsy.

Best of luck... I've IMpatiently waited for several custom guitars (including the Larrivee Forum IV). It's not easy, but in the end, it's worth it!

Thanks. It's like being a kid again waiting for Christmas.
The shop, Woodsongs in Boulder, just got a D40 in. If it's still there when mine arrives, it will be fun to compare them.

I played one of those (forum iv) a few months ago.  The guy I bought my 1999 OM-09 Spruce/Koa had one.

i had a L 09 12 string and really loved it but when i was a bit broke, and needed money buy another instrument.  i go hot and cold on 12 string. sometimes i love playing them, sometimes not. but the good news is i found an L 09 style 12 string made by a larrivee student, shelley sax.  it had no adjustable truss rod and two bends in the finger board but it was super cheap and  great rosewood back and sides and sitka spruce top.  it also needed a refrett.  so my utheir pulled the fretts and levelled the finger board, nice thick ebony, so with the refrett it's a great 12 string.

the rosewood is from the seventies larrivee stash, and fantastic and almost a grain match for two guitars i saw in vancouver at the same time.  off the same log i suspect.

i love larrivee 12 strings.
