Be Safe When Filing Your Nuts!

I've just discovered a new technique for protecting the headstock while filing nut slots:



It also has the added advantage of reducing your GAS by cutting up your credit card!  :tongue:

      Another good use for a credit card in guitar maintenance is if you can slide it in between the joint of the top pieces then your guitar is too dry. Really it is...too dry.  :whistling:        :guitar

Thanks for sharing...that is a great way to protect your guitar..although now I can think of other substitutes.  :thumb

Yeah, seems like a section of the credit card that can fit in between the nut and first fret would work well for protection. Then cut it to the width of the fingerboard at the nut and just tape it to the neck.
