I am the original owner of a nice Martin D12-28 - circa 1978.  Offering it for $OLD plus any expenses - no trades please.  This year I had it evaluated by J Thomas Davis, a Martin service center luthier located in Columbus, Ohio.  He called the factory and they authorized a warranty neck reset and bridge replacement.  I agreed to cover the cost of refretting and fingerboard recovering.

Davis did a wonderful job on the guitar - it sounds and plays even better than when it was new.  I'm taking a different path with my playing these days and the 12 string seldom gets out of its case anymore.

Normal wear for a guitar that has 30+ years of playing - mostly church related use; no gigs or smokey bars.  I've kept it cased and humidified, and there are no structural problems with it at all.  J Thomas Davis set it up with his XL Phosphor Bronze strings over his compensated bone saddle and replaced the bridge pins.  The action is wonderful, especially for a 12 string.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about the guitar - I'd love to find her a good home!
