I was in a vintage guitar shop today playing a Martin 000-28V and saw a new Recording King ROS-06.
So I started playing it. I knew right away this one was coming home with me today. I am truly amazed at the rich tone coming out of this laminate back and sides guitar. It does have a solid spruce top and was made to some tight specs similar to a 1904 000 Martin I think. Something like that. (It actually sounded better than the 2,400 Martin...really)

Anyway it was less than 3 bills out the door with a new warranty. Bone nut and saddle, 1 13/16 nut spacing and pyramid bridge. Here's a pic from their web site. The wife has the camera and is out of town. (gotta sell something before she returns)

The 2cnd guitar is a Yamaha F 335TSB Dread. Barely used, but had a cracked side at the end pin. I paid 45 for it and have it repaired as far as playable. Now I need to dress it up a little. It will go to a grand son or friend. (it was like a lil lost puppy I had to bring home from the pawn shop)

Very nice.  I have a Recording King RNJ-25 (solid spruce and solid maple).  I am quite impressed with these too!

Danny's Home for Wayward Guitars - I like that -

You should get a trailer and go on a road trip -   :bgrin:

That RK looks pretty nice.

Tad
Bunch of Larrivees - all good -
and a wife that still puts up with me, which is the best -

I have an RK 12 fretter slothead too. The all solid rosewood back and sides. I don't know if it's as good as the Martins it is modeled after (00028VS) but I think my GAS is cured and won't come back until I can afford the Larrivee  00060 rosewood slothead 12 fretter or when I can shop around for something in the 5K range. Key point was the size. This is exactly the size neck and body I needed in addition to having a great tone.

Congrats on your new acquisitions too Dan. :thumb
If it sounds good, it is good.
