I installed an active iBeam in a Nick Lucas reissue and I hate the sound.   It sounds very brittle and honky.  It doesn't feedback but sounds like it's about to.  I know placement makes a difference, so should I try different placement?  If so, any idea which direction?  The guitar has very little room to work with on the bridge plate but I'm sure it can be moved a little.  Do you think it might be the small but deep body that makes it sound this way?

I had the same problem,I cured it by running it thru a Baggs para acoustic d.i..The unit gave me access to the eq and the pre amp which smooth out everything.

Ah, thanks.  I actually meant to ask if the PADI would help and I forgot to ask!
