   Why not? National pride in Canada with hockey is a big thing. Not meant as a put-down. I paid my respect to the team, the coach. Was a joke in one sense, but wait & see. Check back later tonight. I have nothing but respect for Canadians, but after the Vancouver games get the sense the feeling isn't mutual? Not saying all, but most?

I admit I may not be as smart as most on this forum,  Jeff I enjoy most of your posts BUT have really no idea what you are inferring here. Most Canadians I know have viewed Americans as brothers and certainly our closest friend ( just not in a hockey rink ;-)

I meant to say earlier, how gracious the Canadian fans were after game, applauding the US players whose play they appreciated.
It was more than simple politeness, several U.S. players got quite the cheers.

We love our game played well and we appreciate it when it is played well. We also really need to win when we play on the international level. That's the ugly part, I guess.
