Dumb just wondering questions

Hello mods as stated above I have a dumb just wondering question,what exactly happens when someone ignores you.I mean does it mean like a complete no I won't except your pm's and when I'm on the forum it won't let someone who is ignoring me in threads I start?Not tryin to cause issue's just dumb wonder.

Disclaimer to all who enter when you live in a house full of cats and you really don't like cats but they have a habit of wanting to lay in your lap and all you can say is why,I don't understand.Thats all this question is.

I know on other forums it means you don't see their posts to threads. Not sure about PM's. Might set that up seperately. BEWARE you may still be subjected to me if someone quotes me and it appears as thier post!

   Rob, think it just means you're not entitled to any doughnuts the Newbies throw us? Especially your favorites? Can still have coffee though. Don't touch!!
   As far as the cat analogy, you have to sit on the couch with a cat on your lap & ask him. Don't think anyone else knows the answer? Had to put the humour sign, as the smile reminds me of the Cheshire cat from "Alice". Hey, how about that new movie with J.Depp? Might reveal the answer?
   And if someone wants to ignore you, their lose, not yours. Have lots of friends around here that appreciate your tech input. Plus, the humor. Where else can you go & get both?

OK  then then I seem to understand.Yes I will ask the cats again but ever time I ask I get that skinty eye thing cats do.I plan on going to the Depp movie.Its ok on the doughnuts as I'm not allowed to eat them anyway.As we speak I'm drinking some Jamacian Blue Mt. coffee.Ducky I don't want to ignore anyone but I'd love to know who and why I'm being ignored so I can add it to my resume.

   Don't ask the penquins. Who knows how much of your sanity they've already stolen? And that look from the cat, just trying to intimidate you. Don't let 'em, show 'em who's boss! But, they do lower your blood pressure. And don't feel bad, I can't eat doughnuts either. Or any junk. Bad for my lipids?

Just a diversion to the question at hand...   I've ignored one person and, as far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything. I still see their posts and the threads they start. So, I guess I'll learn to allow cats in my lap, even if I'm not a cat person.

I was tired the other day, and lay down with my head on the cat - he just happened to be there, in exactly the place I lay down.

I woke up about an hour later, drooling on the cat.  He hadn't moved an inch, clearly not caring one bit.

Why do we question cat's intentions when it appears they just want us to lie on them in return.  He made a very comfortable pillow.  I can highly recommend a purring pillow for a fine nap!

If you ignore someone, you can see their posts, but not the content - I ignored one of the spammers we had a while back as a trial!

So the three people ignoring me will assume I am ranting, whereas I am in fact making light hearted comments about a fat cat.

I just sneezed (I'm allergic to cats).

Getting back to the 'ignore' button: if you click it for someone, can you un-click it later if you have a change of heart. One axion about computers is that everything can be undone but what if, just this once... ?

f
