I have a 2005 D-18 in excellent + condition that I would like to sell or ideally trade for a D-18VS as I can't get used to the 1 11/16 inch neck. When I play my other guitar with 1 3/4 inch neck, it just feels right.

I've had this guitar for about 6 months now and have hesitated about listing it as it is such a great sounding guitar. It has really nice Grover openback tuners (it came with them) and it doesn't have wings. It is by far the nicest sounding D-18 I've played so far, although I haven't played a true "vintage" D-18, so I can't compare it to that. Everyone that has played it raved about it, but alas, I can't get used to the neck. Looking it over right now, I don't see any dings or scratches, but one or two really small ones might be there if looked at VERY closely. The black pickguard has some scratches, but that's all I can see.

I will sell it outright for US$1,200 + shipping. If you want to use Paypal, then the buyer will pay the fees. The guitar is located on the west coast of Canada (as am I) and can provide references upon request, as I have bought and sold on this forum previously. I will post pictures within 24 hours and don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Thanks for looking.

Pictures can be seen here ... http://denmankayaks.wordpress.com/2009/08/18/2005-martin-d-18/

Ideally I'd like to trade for a Martin D-18VS or D-18GE + cash, but open to offers as well.

Thanks for looking

how much $ in CND?

I think I'm going to keep it unless I get a surprisingly good offer.  It's a great guitar and has buckets of tone.  I'm getting used to the 1 11/16 inch neck and will try some Bluegrass strings on it next and see how it plays compared to the mediums on it now.  I think part of the problem was also getting used to mediums after using custom lights for quite a few years.

I might take a Larrivee A-33 mandolin in trade though  :winkin:

Hello, is this guitar still available for sale? I'm interested in a D-18.

This guitar is too nice to let get away in a bout of GAS.  I've gotten used to the neck and is my go to guitar these days.

Check over on UMGF as they pop up from time to time. They truly are great dred guitars ~ you won't be disappointed.
