Can the Larrivee L Body handle strumming?

What gauge pick do you use, perhaps an angle grinder disc?   :humour:
Serious though, I find the L's handle pretty much every thing one could possibly trow at it. I bought my L first as an "all rounder" and I maintain that it is one of the most versatile guitars around. a Hog L might be a better strummer, but I never compared them as such. I do find that my SD and J handle heavy strumming well, but that doesn't mean my L doesn't. Having said that -  I'm not a heavy strummer though, and I find my guitars compliment each other rather well.
I suggest like many others did:  go play them and decide for yourself.

Owned both an L and a D, both 03, both rosewood. The L handled strumming (pretty much all I do), but I thought the D sounded better.
I think the L is closer in size to Taylor's GS, although I've never seen them together. I don't own any Taylors, but if I did, it would be the GS.

Yes the L body handles all the stumming you can throw at it..

Some forget the L body has a lower bout that is the same size as a Dred  ... 16"
so why would it preform like a weak sister to any brand of Dred you may want to compare it to  ?

I can not overdrive mine.  Altho it is played fingerstyle mostly... cuz it does that really really well too.

Got mine out to play a bit after I first saw your post on the AGF asking the same question.
I am strongly rethinking selling it... I havent picked up my Fourm I or F-III for the last few days
It is sounding pretty sweet even with 6 month old Newtones on it.
