I saw a sunburst SD-50 over the weekend. I haven't seen one in a couple years and forgot how beautiful Larrivee's 'bursts can be.

Just stunning. Too bad I don't have any money.....I didn't even bother to play it....just looked at it from across the room...

here's what it sounds like:
Maria Elena

Nice Queequeg, Maria Elena is one of my favourites from the Boomer's Story album.  Did you learn that by ear or is there a tab available?

Gold Tone PBR Deluxe
Larrivee SD-50 MT TSb

My SD-50 wanted me to tell you that his twin brother was really lonely and needed a good home and you should go back and get him. :bgrin:

Did you get to see this side also?

Thanks, hal537. There is a tab available from Power Tab (ultimateguitar.com) but it was too high & a bit awkward for me, so I worked out my own simple arrangement in G. (G D Am)  which I thought sounded a lot better.
After I had learned the Power Tab arrangement it made developing my own pretty easy.

DTB that sure is a pretty guitar!

I know. Just look at this one.

Soundclips on this too. Do you know this wasn't listed long at $1,700....wow!

And folks pay $4,500 for beat up Gibsons. I can't figure it.

Life is too short to drink cheap beer.

stunning is the word!  i've always been a hippie type and said "it's not how it looks, it's how it feels & sounds.  i just purchased a OOO-50 TSB and felt a measure of guilt at paying the extra $ for a jean larrivee sunburst when money is so tight.  however, as you implied, i spend a portion of every day staring at the guitar before and after i play it.  it's a work of art more beautiful than anything in our house... and it feels and plays like a dream to boot.

I have said it before and here it is again.
The SD's are THE BEST and in my opinion the ultimate guitar.
When you add the burst, well it is just of the charts.
I love when someone turns to look at my guitar when they hear it, then are stunned by the beauty of the burst.

The only thing better looking than my SD-50 is the sunburst SD-50. I've thought about selling mine and getting one with a sunburst, but mine just sounds sooooo good. Maybe I'll get me a sunburst 00-50 someday!
