I know this is a Larrivee forum, but I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone. My "Little Larry" will still get plenty of playing time, trust me. ;)

Thank's to Dave at Guitar Adoptions for going the extra distance to get me the guitar I've been looking for forever. She's a Figured Mahogany with Cedar top and Rosewood binding. It came too late this evening to get any pics, but I'll get some with the first good sunlight. She is a C25 Master Class.

I have always wanted to capture the feeling of hearing a new guitar for the first time. So, that's exactly what I did tonight with my new Breedlove.

I recorded the very first notes I played on the new baby. I thought I would share with you guys. ( I did tune it right before hitting the record button).
It was nearly in tune from the factory.

Please excuse the noisy recording and sloppy playing. I was a little excited about hearing her for the first time. ;)

Very, very nice.

At least some people's guitars get delivered.  :(   <sniff>

Enjoy it. There are still Larrivees out there with your name on them.

Scott--What noise and sloppy playing are you talking about? I must have listened to the wrong file :o
What I heard was some awesome fingerstyle. Nice guitar--it's a small body, right? I've always been curious about Breedloves.
Thanks for sharing.

yeah,
I think I could lock myself in a room and practice for another 28 years and not be able to do that!
I was very impressed by a Cedar and Mahogany Breedlove I played at Elderly's a month or so ago.....it struck me as a superb recording instrument......you have confirmed that!
"One small heart, and a great big soul that's drivin"

Hey, Fitness...I don't think even locking myself in a room would help me. Presently, I am playing with five thumbs on each hand. So, even after 28 years in a locked room, I would still have my hands to argue with !!:P
I keep telling them "get in line, get with the program." All they want to do is mess off and play around on the computer. No dedication, you know?
But, I could listen to more cool files like that as inspiration!
I see you have an OM-09. I want to get a Larrivee OM someday.

I can't even hit the right keys on the computer half the time. Getting thru a complete tune without messing up something may be one of those events that is so rare as to not be part of my memory at all....

Beautiful tone Scott and some damned fine playing!

Thanks a ton guys!

Don - I hope your guitar arrives soon. I know the torture you are going through. ;)

Fred - Yes it is a small body. Its a concert size. Close to an OM size.

Thanks again to all for the encouraging words.
I'll get some pics today if the sun ever decides to shine.

Overcast is actually better for photos! Shoot away!
