2003 Larrivee OM-03 Blackwood acoustic guitar. The production of this guitar was "very limited" in the Australian Blackwood. This guitar is in nice condition and sounds awesome. All Solid wood Construction, Single Piece Mahogany Neck, Canadian Sitka Spruce Sound Board & Bracing, African Ebony Fretboard & Bridge, Flamed Canadian Maple Body Binding, Australian Blackwood Back & Sides, Symmetrical Parabolic X-Bracing, Hand fit Dovetail Neck Joint, Rounded Larrivee Headstock, White Inlaid Larrivee Logo, Multi-Strip Inlaid Rosette, Ping Tuners w/ 18:1 Ratio, Ivoroid Fretboard Binding, Beveled Tortis pickguard and Microdot Fretboard Markers. A couple minor dings, none of which are through the finish as far as I can tell. The satin finish of the body and headstock has been polished to a semi-gloss. The spruce top has darkened to a rich warm color. The saddle has been replaced with a Fossilized Walrus Ivory and the nut with West African Hard Ivory both of which came from Bob Colosi and installed by a local tech (the original saddle and nut will be shipped with the guitar when sold). Original Larrivee case in nice condition, and truss rod wrench included. SPECIFICATIONS: Lower Bout: 15.25" Upper Bout: 11.75" Waist: 9.5" Depth: 4.25" Scale Length: 25.5 Nut Width: 1 & 3/4 Fretboard Radius: 15" to 21" Compound Frets - Nickel Silver Frets - Width 2.5mm (0.0985") Frets - Height 1.0mm (0.0394")

Consider a trade for a brand new D-03 Mahogany, a dred is just too big for me, can't get used to it.

Mint, played about a dozen times, let me know if you're interested.

Someone bought it on ebay. Oh well, my time for a blackwood OM will come someday - I didn't have the money for a new guitar right now so the buyer has done me a great favour.

Congrats Blue...I'm sure it'll be much nicer than the Guild you had your eye on!!!!

I'm glad you got it - really!  :nanadance

I can't afford a new guitar right now - our finances are in a state - so you have saved me from further suffering! I will get an OM blackwood someday though, when the time is right.

Denis,

Your right!!!  The Guild GAD is a really guitar for the price but this is something special....and not that much more money...I'm very excited!!!  Even my wife was impressed with the beauty of the wood and the reasonable price for this guitar...she's a good one!!!

Thistle,

thanks...keeps your eyes open...it will happen!

Inspector13,

Did you do the polishing and upgrades on this guitar or is that something that secret friend did? or both?  just curious...sounds like some great additions to an allready great guitar.  I'll have some Black tuner buttond to put on her when I switch out the tuners on my MT...I think those will look nice too!

Cheers,

Very cool, Blue! Glad to hear you got it.  Don't let your hog-top get cold.

I'll be interested to hear what a fellow hog-top owner thinks of balckwood.  Can't wait for your review....

Blue,
Ya, I made the additions and the polishing. It was original when I bought her from a forum member (don't remember his name).  I would have loved to have her back but , due to my last purchase I was not able to scrap the $'s together. I think you will really enjoy her! Let me know if you want to sell her later on. Who knows.

Well I just heard from Secret Friend....and the deal is on hold... :crying:...for the time being...  It turns out he had to hop a plane shortly after listing the guitar on ebay to fly out to visit his father who has become quite ill.  He's not sure when he will be back to complete the transaction.  Keep him and his father in your thoughts.

Good things come to those who wait... :whistling:
