Calton Case modifications?

I have two Calton cases, one for a 000 size Larrivee, and the other was made for my LS...but really, Al made the upper bout of the case (the padding is what is customized, the shell is a standard small body guitar size) a shade narrow, so the LS fits, but is VERY snug, more so than any guitar has gone in to a Calton case for me (I am not a beginner at this, it's my 3rd Csalton case. I KNOW they should be snug, but it's really too tight. I just acquired a 00-50. amd like the LS, it will go in if wiggled, and then pressed down into the case with a good deal of pressure. I have checked into having the case reworked (pretty expensive) and have considered carefully razor cutting the interior fabric, peeling it back, and shaving down the foam to make the upper bout space a tad bit more roomy. and regluing the fabric. Anyone ever adjust a Calton like this before?

Seems like Calton should cover this. I know the cases are not cheap.
I was thinking about getting one for my SD. They told me it was a 24 week wait.
It's not the price stopping me it is the wait and now hearing the guitar may not fit in the case, well I am not sure.

The wait is long...but with my first and third cases, I got a perfect fit...and I mean PERFECT! It's the second one, the one made for my LS...when I got the invoice, it said "Larrivee Parlor". I was empathetic that it was and LS and NOT a parlor, but I think they heard "small body" and just read into it 'Parlor".
With the 000, we sent measurements, and there was no mistake, it is a perfect fit. For me, the cost is worth it the first time I have to surrender a guitar to gate check!

I think they just padded it for a parlor, instead of an LS. Like I said, it will go in...

My Caltons fit perfectly.  I'd also suggest calling Al at Calton and having them adjust it for you.  A bit of shipping cost but the final product would be worth it for an expensive case.

I was told a modificatoin would be in the range of $350, but it is worth calling Al next time I remember to do so!
