Referring to the smaller bodied L, does larrivee still make this model?  i know they have the new LSV-11 fingerstyle guitars but i don't see the standard full scale LS models that the LSV-11 evolved from.

Hi Poki,

I believe they stopped making those a few years ago. I'm sure someone will have more detailed info.

Foolishly I believe they stopped making them.I had the pleasure of working on an LS10 I sold a few years back and its a wonderful guitar.

thanks bhika and unclrob, this is sad news indeed.  perhaps the LS was too similar to the OMs in specs so they revamped it into the fingerstyle model to set it appart.  just speculation

Beautiful LS10 for sale over on the AGF right now.

Poki I own an L an LS and an OM each has a distictive sound.I also own a 00 and parlours which all sound fairly close to each other.I've played the LSV11 which was a neat guitar but my LSV05 play's just as good so no need for the LSV11 and it was 1/2 the price.I've played the 000 which is alright but I'd rather play my LSV05.Keep your money at hand and when a LS or an LSV come's up buy it you'll be very happy. :GRN>

thanks for the comments folks.  at the moment i'm an expectant guitar father soon so in any case an LS is a long ways off. i was thinking about a guitar dedicated to slack key use and wanted a 14 fret full scale cutaway model for that but no rush since my seagull folk can suffice for now.

LSV's definitely has not been given enough credits.  But the people in the know, knows that a well build LSV is easily equilvalent in sound to some of the boutique made ones out there.
