FS: Shure KSM44 large diaphragm studio mic: $475 complete kit, shipped

I'm offering my as-new Shure KSM44 large diaphragm studio condensor mic with suspension cage, fitted aluminum locking case, stand adapters, warranty card, original box, and all documentation. This is Shure's top-of-the-line condensor mic for professional studio recording. Never been out of my little studio and in pristine condition.

I bought the KSM44 for recording vocals but found that a Rode NTK tube condensor worked better for my voice. Turns out the KSM44 is more widely used to record instruments like acoustic guitars and pianos, where its extreme accuracy and fidelity to the source really shines. The Rode NTK is very "colored" and just happens to suit the timbre of my voice, while the KSM44 is absolutely, spot-on accurate. It can also be used in omnidirectional and figure-8 for ensemble use, bluegrass style. I'd use it for these purposes myself, but I also have a stereo pair of KSM137s that I use for recording guitar and can't justify owning both since I've invested in the NTK.

The Shure KSM44 lists for over $1300 and sell new from reputable online discounters for $700 or you can get B-stock/blemished models from mom and pop eBay outfits for $515 plus your PayPal fees. I'll sell you mine for $475 shipping included, and I'll also include a 20-foot low-impedence mic cable.
