I thought the video production was superbly amusing (as far as guitar videos go).

Here he is, just a kid, 15 years ago, but he was developing his chops even then.

When people think a guitar should always have more sustain, richness, brightness, etc, I point to something like this as the reason why sometimes less is more. For this type of song, that's just the perfect tool in the hands of a master.
I hope the person who just posted the question about mahogany topped guitars sees this as it's a great example of why someone might choose a guitar like that.

Yep.
And that's how it is with manouche guitars (gipsy jazz guitars) too.
Long on volume; short on sustain.

I started this thread because Gareth is coming to town soon. Unfortunately I have a conflict that night.
