I've never seen one of these.  Rare model?  I really love the simplicity this guitar, and for some reason I think I like it about as well as any Larrivee model I've seen.  Maybe my
D-03 needs a little brother!

 I only wish it were a 14-fretter.

Looks like one of the originals parlors. I had a rosewood limited edition. My ex has it and I should never have let her keep it.  :crying:

It's great fun watching eBay for Larrivees.

Dang, RW sounds nice!

Wow, nice!  You probably miss the guitar more than the ex?

Oh you got that right!  :laughin:

I bought my O-01 walnut on eBay, for $650, a few years back. What a great little guitar with a sound that is much bigger than it's size. My son has had it for a couple years now and I don't think it'll ever come back here.  :crying:

I wish I would have bought a few more Larrivees in 2019. Even with pandemic demand gone, inflation took all the fun out of guitar shopping for me. Crazy to see used guitars selling for what were new prices not long ago.

I know just what you mean. For me, part of the fun of being a Larrivee fan/owner has always been feeling like I'm part of a small group that knows about these guitars, and how much guitar one could get for a great price.

For years I've watched Craig's List and seen used Larrivees selling for insanely low prices: e.g., D03s (the best guitar in the world, something I've argued for elsewhere on the forum) for $400-$500, etc.  I think of all the people that skipped over those guitars because they "never heard of them" or because "it's not a Taylor" or because the name is funny and too French, and realize what a great guitar - and potentially a lifetime keeper - they missed out on.

Now those same guitars are being sold for $1000 or so. Inflation definitely spoiled the fun. But it's still fun being part of the Larrivee secret society of guitar players.

I used to watch ebay all the time for gear...and other things...whatever you wanted, you could go on Ebay and select from a plethora of them.  A lot of gear I search now seems to be Japanese resellers...shame ebay couldn't find a way to handle that exploitation because they've more or less killed themselves.  Personally, I'll use Kijiji to buy or sell a lot of things and reverb to browse.

I like that about Larrivee as well.

How do you say Favre? I've said for years that the French name is a large part of the problem. Very few Americans I've met can pronounce it properly. The closest I hear is pronouncing the last syllable vee and not vay which is not bad. That silly accent é (– l'accent aigu - the acute accent)! I suggested to Matthew Larrivee that they call their traditional line Matthews or something like that but ... I guess not.

^^^ One of these is for sale at GC now for a great price ($999).  I really love these simple little guitars.

I'm one of those weirdos (around here anyway) that really only wants one guitar at a time. But, I do think a parlor is so different, tonally, that I could justify having two. I guess that's the slippery slope of thought that got many of you where you are! :roll :nice guitar:

Saw that guitar on eBay.looked like a good deal,Larrivee prices are high in my country for new Larrivees, but you  try selling a used ( even a high end Larry) and it'll sit for months with practically zero interest,I experimented recently by putting up my BR C-10 for sale- waste of time,as there was absolutely no feedback whatsoever, save from one clown who expressed disbelief at the asking price, probably because of the headstock name,as it wasn't Martin, which probably would have sold the guitar in a New York minute, needless to say,I'm keeping my C-10 anyway.

Oh, I'm that same weirdo!  I only have one guitar (my Larrivee).  Well, I only have one acoustic guitar.  I also have a nice electric guitar and a very nice mandolin.  But I comb the interwebs quite a bit for used Larrivees.

Oddly enough, I don't really keep up with the new guitars Larrivee makes, but I enjoy watching them on the used market.  Those little guitars like I posted a link to have always interested me, though I've never owned one.  I've always thought one would look nice propped up in the corner of my den!  Maybe someday.  When all my children and grown and gone, I'm hoping to put together a music room and finally start collecting guitars.  Funny enough, I have known writers who always longed for the perfect writing room so they'd not have to write at the kitchen table anymore, etc.  When they got the writing room at last, they weren't sure what to do with themselves.  I'll probably be the same way one day with a music room!  All these years I've played wherever I land with my guitar around the house and would probably miss it.
