Very sad news this morning to hear Kobe Bryant has passed. I have been a big fan of Kobe's in his basketball years, this is very shocking news. RIP Bryant.

Not a round ball fan but he was a great player and this is much too young. It's a tragedy that his young daughter was with him. RIP both Bryants and the others on board.

You can tell by my handle I love basketball.  I lived in LA for 3 years when I was very young and still love the Lakers, even though I live in the SF Bay Area now and we have enjoyed a dynasty with the Warriors.   Kobe was a once in a lifetime player, all around fierce competitor and inspiration to many, including my son who played high level college basketball.  This is a tragedy for everyone who had a loved one on that helicopter.  Reports are saying the weather was below standards for flying due to the fog.

Yes the weather wasn't the best. We hear there were five then nine involved, the kids were heart breaking to hear, much too young. Also just heard about 'Flatlander's' house, my he was very lucky.
I too love basketball, played the game in my teens.
