Hi, here is a more reputable review than mine.
I just found this after using the strings for a month or so.

Great review, thanks for sharing it.  That is the first time I have heard them recommended for archtop use because of their magnetic properties, but I have had much improved results with them for soundhole mounted magnetic pickups.  I should also mention that Newtone now offers an archtop selection in nickel and they are sublime!  Newtone acoustic nickel masterclass strings are every bit as good as the Monel and D'Addario as well.  I have found each brand has slight differences in tonal quality, but each has their place...

Ordered me 3 sets of D'addario NB on the basis of headsup's review.  Forum members are always my strongest recommendation when looking at new stuff.
Thanks Kevin

I love those older Canadian made Larrivees!

I REALLY like the medium Bottom, light top sets,
nice warm fat punchy low end, and sparkly noodle friendly top strings.

I also mentioned in a previous post for electrics, I recently discovered the D'addario NYXL (black label strings.
best electric strings ever. clear response no tuning issues, near perfect intonation.

I'm liking this company's coming out with new and high quality product.
haven't been a loyal customer of any one brand, but these folks are winning me over.....

There's a reason why they're one of the biggest string makers...

After reading this review, I think they may work well on the ooo-03 moonwood/bloodwood, which is a little bright. I never pay that much for strings though.
