There's a clip where Tommy Emmanuel is playing the guitar Mr. Larrivée gave him, and he mentions Earthworks microphones -  at approx 4:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3ILQaTybNU

In the preview to the solo recording he mentions in that interview, you can hear him playing the Larrivée through the Earthworks mic  - approx 4:55 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw4pwaycnVs

In another thread I asked if anyone has tried the DPA-4099 series mics  . . . but maybe that question was asked out of context and people were afraid of jumping the thread

Has anyone actually used either the original 4099 or the current d:vote?

Some links which include some audio samples (not by DPA):

That's the first vids I've seen him playing the "Boss" in concert. Thanks

Pain is a good thing

First time I've noticed that his C is a 12-fret join.

Thanks for posting these.

Can't get the clips to play in either IE or Firefox here.

History of DPA has it's legacy with Brüel & Kjær microphones I believe; which are the best measurement microphones on the market and have been for decades.

The mounting system is pretty clever.

Assuming you mean the DPA review clips?

I had a problem too, but they are linked twice in the review, first through a "player" and then later in the post with direct links to mp3's (which I had to download then play, but they're small and quick downloads)
