hey guys;i played at a restaurant sat.nite with my om o3e and my ultrasound amp.it 's that all nite my guitar sounded too bassy.i've got new strings and it has a lr baggs element pup installed for the factory.no matter what i did it seemed to sound "muddy".got lots of compliments though.,,any ideas?thx

Was the amp on the floor or on a stand? If so,what is the floor's covering? How close to the amp were you sitting/standing?Where you tucked into a corner or up against  a flat wall?

wel i was right next to it3 feet awayand it was on a chair ,the floor is carpeted.i'm playin there again on aug 20;i'll have to see how it goes this time.do ya think i'm too close to the amp?thx

You may be to close.Best suggestion is set the eq flat to start if you have a long enough cord step out in front about 6-10 feet away {if you can} and listen closely. If your hearing to much bass try adjusting the mid control first before removing bass. Its a weird dance sometime's adjusting the eq.Play around as much as you can at home.Sometime's adding something {treb, mids} works in your favor over removing something {bass} in this case.Never the less really getting to know your controls and how adjusting one thing effects the other.

This is pretty much a spot-on description of how John Standefer (LarrivĂ©e endorsee) played his L in concert at our church - Ultrasound on a chair, about 6-10 feet behind him.  He played this way the whole concert.  I thought it would be a feedback nightmare, but it was not.
