Hi I had a mahogany 00 on order but it got some damage and they are going to build  a new one. I waited for 8 weeks, what should I do, get it rebuilt or get a rosewood one from  wildwood music any help much appreciated  :crying: :crying:

What does your dealer say? I would doubt it will take another 8 weeks.

yep the dealer said about 8 weeks the first one took that long so I guess the new one will to.  :donut :donut

You should get the guitar that you really want, even if it means waiting.

It seems like a long wait now. But years from now 8 vs. 16 weeks will mean nothing. Having the guitar you really want will mean everything.

yeh you are right James I just wait another 2 months
cheers :crying:

Use that 8 weeks to learn some new things to play on the 00 when you do get it. Time flys.

As the owner of 2 all mahogany OOs, I would definitely say to wait out the 8 more weeks. I know that its no fun, but I think it would be worth the wait.
What kind of an all mahogany OO is it going to be, an 03, 05 or etc?

Its going to be an all mahogany 00-05 with oo-10 appointments on the neck with an antique finish :donut :donut

Very nice! If you decide to go ahead and wait, then we will all be impatiently waiting to see it too :)

What do you mean by "antique finish?"

sunburst top and sides an old fashioned finish should be great :donut :donut

You waited 8 weeks? Consider yourself lucky, I waited 10 months for my special order and they put the wrong tuners on it. Had to wait 3 months for the replacement...

I must have a bullseye on my forehead as far as Larrivee is concerned, my current warranty repair is a similar long -CENSORED- sad story.

Don't compromise on what you want, just be patient, Larrivee's mahogany is beautiful and worth the wait. The mind reels as how cool a vintage burst will look in gloss. My custom build was a satin vintage burst and is gorgeous.

If you get something other than what you really wanted because you didn't want to wait 8 weeks......ummmmmm, what do you do after 8 weeks has passed and you think to yourself...gee, I could have been opening that vintage burst hog today if I hadn't of been in such a hurry.

You best wait on that 00MT. Sounds like it will be a beauty.

Sorry for your unfortunate luck.

I remember waiting for my 00-03MT.  It was worth the wait!

SO sorry man, that suuuucks.
..but worth the wait.
very cool that they were transparent with you, instead of just saving face and saying, "well it's just taking a while."

maybe if you express some anxiousness to get your guit, they will feel compelled to rush and push the new one to the end of the line. it was an error on their part after all.

also, i heartily agree with

Wait for sure. If it makes you feel any better, it took about 1 1/2 years to have my Green Mountain built.

That one is worth the wait. Is it a slothead or paddlehead?
