Fred my friend thankyou and all my best to you and your lovely lady.Sorry I haven't been around much my email went down about 3 weeks ago same time as paypal tried to steal money from me.Been rehearshing witha bunch of different projects.Once again this old heathen will be play with not one but 2 christian acts. One's an electric band that is forcing me to play my acoustic plugged in{I hate that tone},the other is in a duo. That same evening I'll be playing with 2 other duo's playing non christian music and if all goes as last year I'll be sitting in with anther friends duo so I guess that will make it a trio.
Just finish putting the gifts under the tree for the bubba,my better half thinks that this is going to be the last year that we can get away with Santa's coming he's 10 now and I hope not.
Anyway have a good one and be safe.
That goes for all the my fellow loonies and friends here. :wave

Merry Christmas, Rob! I'm glad to hear that you are playing out. If you get a chance, have someone run a digital recorder of one of your sets. We'd love to hear it.
Here's to a great 2010.

Let me wish Rob a Merry xmas too, before the days over.  I appreciate the several times I've called down there and you unhurriedly gave advise on guitars/pickups and such.
I did go with the pickup you recommended, Ibeam, by the way with external preamp. Also left the fishman under saddle in and had internal preamp removed.
Along with getting frets gone over, slight nut working, new bone saddle as Mark said the old left a little to be desired. This is on the old L-10. She'll be a 30 year old model in a few days so I got her a present.  Been told she plays like butter again. He's great with necks and frets so I can't wait til he brings it back down in just a few more days. Just in time for a jam with a few of the best pickers around.  Here's Marks latest baby, Interesting as usual. Very bright and loud. Notice one piece bridge, with hard ebony for strings, long skinny bridge and strings attach directly to body, His standard scalloped fingerboard and stainless steel frets. He makes wooden cases for all his instruments. I noticed he had another bridge in case. I guess he'll give buyer an extra since it'll take more than just replacing saddle when it wears.Anyway.......  Merry xmas brother.
