I have a K&K Pure XLR Preamp that I would like to sell. This thing is practically new- I used it for two weeks at church before I sold my guitar with a K&K pick up in it. These preamps sound amazing, especially when used with the K&K pick ups. There is not a scratch or a mark on the unit. Asking $120 shipped to your door.

Check out some of the specs here: http://www.guitaradoptions.com/k-k-pure-xlr_preamp.html

PM or email me at bbasquez@yahoo.com with any questions. Thanks for looking!

D20,
I have an L-03 with a K&K in it.  I use a Genz Benz Shenendoah 100 amp, and use the controls on the amp.  How did you use the XLR preamp-through a mixing board or through an amp?  What advantage would it give me if I use the XLR before the amp?  Could you describe the improvement in sound?

Are you using the K&K passively?  Without a preamp?  I know when I got my K&K Pure preamp, the earlier version before the XLR, I noticed a lot more of everything.  The sound was warmer, stronger, fuller.  I've heard the XLR is even better but I've never tried it.

Denis,
Yes I use the K&K straight into my amp.  The amp has some ability to shape the sound, but it doesn't seem to do that much.  It sounds like you are impressed with the difference in the sound.

The preamp brought the sound to life.  It made it so much bigger and even more natural.  I'd played my K&K's passively, very high output for a passive pick btw, before getting the preamp but wouldn't now.
