I don't know what the hell snakewood is but it looks  and no doubt sounds great too.  Thank God 12-fret NEVER adds lefties to their special runs or there would be a few people around here (me) that would get into a whole lot of trouble.

...resistance is futile...hahahaha

The snakewood is for the binding and headstock...not the back and sides, so it doesn't affect the "sound."  The back and sides are EIRW.

Serial Number:...  53291 circa late '90s
Description:...  Whoa!  Isn't this one sweet with its distinct Bearclaw top figure and a dazzling set of rare figured Hawaiian koa back and sides!  From the condition,  I don't think this guitar has logged much playing time over the last decade.  It looks like a new instrument!  Koa has always been one of my favorite all-time tonewoods because of its engaging midrange quality and I'm convinced that this stunning Bearclaw top is taking this particular L-body to an even slightly higher level!
Neck:...  1 23/32" wide nut;  bound ebony peghead overlay with mother-of-pearl logo inlay;  adjustable truss rod;  one piece tropical mahogany neck with hand fit dovetail neck joint;  bound ebony fingerboard with micro dot markers;  medium elliptical neck profile
Frets:...  very light signs of wear only
Body:...  gorgeous Bearclaw figured Sitka spruce top;  nicely figured Hawaiian koa back and sides with medium/dark chocolate colour;  flamed maple body binding;  abalone soundhole rosette;  tortoiseshell pickguard is just lightly adhered over original clear pickguard to show the look and can be easily removed or permanently installed;  ebony bridge;  intonation compensated bone saddle;  16" lower bout dimension with 4 3/4" deep sides at end pin area;  near mint condition!
Finish:...  original gloss finish is in showroom condition
Playability/Action:...  excellent!  current action is 4/64" treble side to 6/64" bass side with 3/64" of saddle protruding
Case:... hardshell
