string spacing at saddle

Does anyone happen to know the string spacing at the saddle on Larrivee OM bodies? Or if you don't know, would you mind measuring for me? I'm wondering if it's the same as on the L bodies (I get 2 and 3/16 inches, or just a hair under 5.6 cm, on my L03).

Actually I'm kind of curious about Larrivee D bodies, too, for comparison to some other dreads I have (which are 2 and 1/8").

I visit the Larrivee site frequently, and have poked around on all the spec and comparison pages, but they don't seem to list this.

Thanks.

my 2001 OM-09 is 2 3/16....and I think most I've owned have been the same.

I've never thought about it before.
So I measured my classical and it is 2 1/4
and I measured my Larrivee SD-50 and it is 2 3/8.

The SD-50 is actually wider than my classical !  That surprised me.
When I had my SD-50 set up by a pro - he replaced the plastic saddle with a bone saddle.
(yes the new ones come with plastic instead of bone - that was debated recently)

Now I'm wondering if he kept the string spacing the same or if he may have made it wider ?

Can someone with a SD-50 (or SD-60) tell me what the string spacing is on your guitar ?   :donut2 :coffee

replacing the saddle would not change the string spacing. This is determined by the pin holes in the bridge.
My SD-50 measures 2 & 3/8 @ the saddle.
OM-50 reading 2 & 7/32

Thanks Mr. Mod.  I see that now. :thumb   :donut2 :coffee

I'm surprised the SD-50 would have wider spacing at the saddle than my classical.
I wonder why that is so....

The SD-50 spacing at the nut is almost exactly the same as my classical.

I really don't notice the difference when I switch back and forth between the two -
and that's one of the reasons I like my SD-50 so much  - I don't have to sing the ' Transition Blues '  :bgrin:
