Saw This One over at Elderly, don't recall ever seeing an L-50 before, anyone know anything about it?

No and the description doesn't help. The '50' desigation now stands for a mahogany guitar built with the "traditional" look. But who knows? I'm still not sure what my 1975 L is/was called. 9? 9.5? 10? 11?

Look's like one of their new style cases.

Very similar to my L-10 deluxe as far as wood, rossetta, headstock. Diminsions may be a little different.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

I wonder if it was one of the large soundhole instruments made in the early 90's?

That was my first thought, although I thought that the 50 series from that era was crafted to appeal to the bluegrass/traditional player. The L body and abalone really don't fit the usual needs of that market.
