Removing glue residue

Hi,
I have clear colored glue residue in side my guitar from installing some velcro to attach battery. However I have removed that battery pack and I now have glue. the glue is not hard, it's still kind of soft. I am not sure what type of glue and I wanted to get some tips on how to remove it.
