Well, it's been a while since my last update. My luthier had a series of health issues that delayed progress, but here's the latest.... :tongue:

"....I got the binding scraped, smoothed, filled and sanded. I added a sealer coat of shellac to the back and sides, but not to the front."

Tinman,

Your guitar is looking great.  The wait will be well worth it.  Really looking forward to see its completion.  :nice guitar:

(Health issues have put my guitar building on hold for now as well)

Looking good. Will it be done by June and will you be bringing it to Morral? I'd love to see it up close.

Well it shouldn't be TOO much longer!  Here are a couple of photos after some finish (2 coats) have been applied.  It's had 2 finish coats of shellac and 2 coats of oil/varnish so far, with a light sanding with 600 grit in between...... :+1:

Well, after two years' planning, I get to pick up (no pun, honest!) the Tinman Heart Guitar tomorrow.  I wholeheartedly  (yeah, that one WAS a pun...) recommend Christopher Kenney of Acorn House Workshop.  He shed blood and a few tears putting this one together for me.....I will let the photos speak for me - I'm stunned!

Incredible story and a gorgeous guitar. I hope you play it in great health for many years to come. As I've only recently joined the forum a few months ago, the latest post brought it to my attention kind of late in the process. Nonetheless, I started at the beginning when I got an idea what was going on here and smiled all the way through! Congratulations on several levels! :+1: :nice guitar:
