Which one would it be?

Hypothetical question, but one I muse over now and then.....

I know I'm not the only one here with multiple Larrivee's and other guitars.
How did it get like this from the days of having just one "love of my life" guitar?

So you're moving to another country, or you or a family member are hospitalized and the medical expenses are brutal sans insurance.

You have to sell all your guitars but one.
Which one will it be, and why?

post script:
there appears to be some resistance and difficulties around this concept.
What if you had more than one spousal or pelvic affiliate?
and you had to choose just ONE?
the concept is about choosing ONE of something we have multiples of.

"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

Probably not the answer you want (I am notorius for that around here) but I prefer not entertain negative situations like that!

Headsup------"your first born was hit by a car",    just wee bit brutal, methinks    :crying:
However, to answer the actual question,  I would keep my OMO3R-------reason ?----well, I have only owned 3 guitars, all of which I still have .  A Tanglewood tw173, a P05, and the OMO3R, and the latter generally gives me the greatest pleasure, and suits the widest range of my preferred style of music (finger picked slowish songs, no singing. )

See ya later!     :wave

My forum III for sure. :donut

I would never sell any of my guitars.

This is like the after the apocolypse scenario. It would be only me and my L-03 Italian Spruce left on earth. And also Sofia Vergara to repopulate.

I wanted to make this about larrivee guitars, that's why I put it in this forum, if the moderators wish to move it, as non guitar discussion (which it might become) i understand that.

If this thread goes to places where yet again I offend people, I will delete it, with apologies.
Kevin, the REAL point you are getting at is abundantly clear.
"Which guitar would you keep if it could only be one?"

No need for apologies or thread removal etc. Just a need for some forum members to give you a break and either participate or be nice enough not to flame you in a back handed way.

Just be you. If you try to please everyone here you'll be someone else. I'd rather read what you have to say, not what you think others want to hear.

My grandaughter died from a car accident and that was not what I thought about when I read Kevin's post. I knew what he meant.
Just give a little grace to folks and see what is really meant. Not go nipping at their ankles like a flock of ducks.

Thanks, however, I have ruffled feathers around here in the past, I don't wish to. It appears to be what I am, always pushing things in places others might not want to go.
I have great respect for the Larrivee family, and the folks who keep this forum going, offending other's sensibilities, because of my own lack of eloquence is something I don't care to do.

now back to guitars...

BUT, it is a forum. And if you worry about offending someone all the time you may not say anything at all in the end.

Like Danny, it would have to be the Forum III.   I have more than just money invested in this guitar.  I would feel  awful if I had to give up my L-10, OM-03R, or 000-50MT.  But in  the end those would all be replaceable and the FIII would not.   :thumb

I've only sold a few non-Larrivees.

I would have to keep my LS10 because it is my main gigging tool.

Actually, I can testify that there are certain folks here you don't want to offend, lest you get banned.  IOW, you DO have to worry about what you post.  For me, I will be posting much less than in the past.

I personally laughed out loud at the "pelvic affiliate" reference...hahaha. I've only got one of those and she's a keeper alright!
Also have lost a child in a car accident and was not offended in the least.
I love my LV-03RE-IAS and if the scenario presented itself today it's a very simple choice for me.
My "pelvic affiliate" would stay the same, too...

Whoa guys !-------------wish I'd never posted now on this thread. I am not in any way offended, and only mentioned it as the  second poster obviously was non too pleased, I thought.
If you noticed, I put a happy wave at the end, .... not the actions of an offended person !
I am actually un-offendable,  (if there was such a word), and my own dark sarcastic humour is the thing that usually offends other more delicate souls.  :yak:

Sorry, I added your post in with the others that seemed to just be snipping at the very idea of only having one guitar etc.
I had posted something else but the service went down and lost my post. Probably just as well.

   Back to guitars.

It makes you think hard about what you have, what you love, and why.

I've got a few now that I couldn't imagine parting with (although a GAS attack can change that... ;) ).

If I had to get rid of all but one, the one I would keep is my Yairi CY116.  I rarely play it, but it was my grandfather's.
