What is a good one to get without breaking the bank?  I want to add a different tone without learning to play the actual banjo.  Any ideas on what you found successful?  Thanks.

A friend of mine had a deering.  Gotta be honest, it's less fun than it sounds.  Kinda lke a danelectro electric sitar.  More of an effect than an instrument you will want to sit down and play on a regular basis.  I could be wrong, but I'm not  :ph34r:  

I've played a few of the 6 strings there cute but I wouldn't spend the money on them.Learning 5 string isn't all that bad depending on the style you want to play.
