In the next few weeks, the forum will be undergoing some big changes. For a while now there have been discussions about hosting pictures and sound clips on larriveeforum.com. With your help we can make this happen.

My plan is to first change to a new forum software package to better facilitate uploading files. Next will be a move to a new host that will allow us to have much more storage space and bandwidth to accommodate the files. Once the change and move is complete, members will be able to upload their pictures and sound clips directly to larriveeforum.com for everyone else to see and hear.

Here is where you come in. A few members have mentioned that they would make a donation to help cover the costs of a new host. If you feel like it is something you would like to help with, please use the button below to make a donation. EVERY PENNY that is donated will go to hosting the forum. I will put what I am currently paying to host the site towards the new hosting costs.

Less than a year ago, when this forum was started, I had no idea it would grow into what it is now. We truly have some great and helpful people here, and I thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Thank YOU Zach. I'm a relatively new member, but have enjoyed the exchange of info and the friends I've made. I'm thrilled to see that you want to provide a way for folks to share their music. Ultimately that is what owning a Larrivee or any other brand for that matter is all about. Making music.
I'll gladly donate to the cause.
I hope that everyone will contribute!!!!!

Great Idea! I would suggest that we could also make a voluntary contribution whenever a member sells something via the Buy/Sell section, ALA the UMGF procedure. It could still be voluntary, but if you sell something as a direct result of the posting, it would seem fair to give a little bit to help cover the cost of running the forum. Thanks for all the hard work hosting the forum. Jason.

I like that Guitarcrazy. Also Zach you might consider putting a small blurb at the top of the main index asking folks to contribute. No reason why forum members shouldn't be asked. Those of us who can afford will give and those that can't...no problem.

Sorry for the delays in keeping everyone updated. Things have been kinda busy around here, and I've been out of town some recently.

First of all, THANK YOU! The donations have been extremely generous. Thanks to everyone that has donated. We are in great shape for a while to come. The support has been incredible.

I've finally decided on a new host which will provide a huge increase in storage and bandwidth. I've been working behind the scenes to test new forum software. Moving the database and making sure it is converted correctly is kind of tricky, but I'm working on it. The upcoming week is looking pretty slow, so hopefully I can get some work done.

Thanks again to everyone that donated. Although I'm obviously biased, I think we have one of the best forums around with some really great people.

Hey Zach--Thanks for making this such a great forum. Anytime I see some of the negative stuff that goes on in other forums, I come running back to the Larrivee. While I agree with you that this forum has some great people, it has to start out with the creator and the tone they set. So, hats off to you, Zach.
