Title: Any Boss AD-8 users?
Post by: dberch on December 05, 2005, 03:30:45 PM
I have a question about the Boss AD-8.   I have 4 acoustics that I use live (2 Larrivees a Collings and a Kay).  I like the pickups (b-band and K&K) because they really sound like the guitars.  I'm interested in the AD-8 for it's ability to set and store EQ settings.  I don't care about the mic modeling, since I like my pickups. I want to hear my guitars, not someone else's modeled Martin or Gibson.  I just need to do a little EQ'ing on each and each needs something different.

So, my questions is: If I turn the Body knob all the way down, how much of MY guitar/pickup will I hear?

Thanks!
David

dberch,
i've had a ad-8 for several months now and the eq ability is pretty good.  low, mid, mid freq, high, and super high.  the body sensor knob will help a parlor sound more like a jumbo or vice versa.  all in all, a pretty good little unit.  if you have a ust pickup, it really shines.
