I've never seen one but have been told they exist. Had an OM-03FM very briefly that was nice, indeed, but really want to find an L. Okay, who gots?
I'd be interested to know if you've ever even SEEN one!
Well, it's been almost 13 months and I've still not seen an L-03 in maple, but all the guys who'd know say they do exist. Would still like to get one if anybody has any leads. Thanks.
Here is a Maple Dread which would give you more bass than an L. That is not a bad thing with a Maple guitar...

Didn't see a date on this auction so you may want to contact the seller.
Amazing flame on the back!
Thanks. D's I've seen, just no L's. Maybe they feel that's a better combo than maple and L. But I just can't hang with D's these days.
Yes I think the lower bout is larger but that is where the extra bass comes from, I don't have a problem with the added size if I am standing... :WNK>
Actually the L and D are both the same size in the lower bout. The waist and upper bout are smaller on the L, making it more comfrtable for most folks. The D has a deeper body, and this extra air volume contributes to its additional lower register power.
L - Larrivee Body
Lower Bout · 16"
Upper Bout · 11.625"
Waist · 10.25"
Depth · 4.75"
Overall Length · 40.75"
Scale Length · 25.5"
D - Dreadnought
Lower Bout · 16"
Upper Bout · 11.875"
Waist · 10.875"
Depth · 5"
Overall Length · 41"
Scale Length · 25.5"
I stand corrected, thanks ronmac! :cheers
For some reason I perceive the Dread's lower bout as larger when I am sitting... :?
I've also noticed the Dreads, IMO have a richer/fuller tone than the L's which could be attributed to the added depth. (Not to offend L lovers in the crowd;-)
No problem, Hang. My specialty is spewing mostly useless facts to the unknowing, and often uncaring, public. :yawn
I think this is what you're looking for? I'm kicking myself for not bidding on it :<> Check out that bear claw :SHK>

No, not at all. They've made plenty of -09 series Ls in maple, no question about that. I'm really talking about a satin finish L-03. Until I see one, if ever, I remain unconvinced they exist.
