Knocked this out soup to nuts last night - well, I've been composing it in my head for several weeks - but decided to limit myself to working on the song for exactly one sitting.
1 vocal track - gently compressed and 'verbed
1 acoustic guitar track with the standard copied, pasted, panned, delayed, eq'ed and 'verbed
No master limiting - just watched the VU meters and performed light gain changes where needed on some words.
Normalized on the rendering.
Have a listen, let me know what you think.
Loser - look for the little download icon (http://www.audioshots.com/auditorium/viewtopic.php?p=13185#13185)
You can leave comments right at the auditorium site if you like, or drop me a note here.
Dialup guys can even listen since it's only 1.5 MB or so.

I confess to being not too slick with the computer - I couldn't find your track.

My mistake for not being more clear. The link is to a forum thread where the song is attached to the initial post. You have to click the 'download' icon in order to get the song. It's a nice way to post tracks for critique - since people can respond to the song directly on the thread.

I just looked too. I don't see a [download] icon.
However. I do see a text message that tells me I have to create an account and log in to upload or download files.

Looks like you might be right, mates.
Well - my apologies. The Auditorium was a great place to post files. I can vouch that logging in has never caused me spam with their site - at least not to my knowledge.
I can send you over to soundclick - I have posted it there as well. I think it's the one in my signature, but if not, my Soundclick.com page is here:
Soundclick page - song in question is Loser (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/scottlake_music.htm)
The song is the one called 'Loser'
Sorry for sending you on a wild-goose chase.
