I'd be interested in hearing some more feedback/impressions from Forum VII owners now that they've had their guitars for a few months to see how they've settled in with these unique and rare instruments. I'd also like to know the wood combination and body size of your guitar.
I spent most of the weekend playing my Forum VI and I'm pretty sure that she will get the nod to go on vacation with me next week. This guitar was a bit of a gamble because I had never played a guitar with a moonwood spruce top paired with a walnut back and sides. The 12 fret neck with a 25.5" scale was also a welcome surprise and I'm glad I added a Venetian cutaway to take up to the top end of the fretboard. Adding the Anthem Dual Source pickup was also a good decision and after over four+ years of playing this guitar, I couldn't be happier.
Well, I love the darn thing. I got the 000 size with mahogany back and sides. The biggest thing that I've noticed is that the large body with the 12 feet neck join gives the guitar a more rounded sound, not as sharp and snappy as a 14 feet design. I really find the guitar shape extremely comfortable and has the volume of a dred without the shoulder pain. Im glad I got mahogany. My biggest mental hurdle is that I'm so nervous about damaging it that I don't like to take it out of the house!
I'm actually having issues getting used to the neck. I know, tough life, but it's just not the same feeling as my FVI. And I'm still a bit pissed at not getting a Forum FII label inside.
Beautiful guitar. Great sound. Enjoying it as much as I can.

Mine's a 000 Black Walnut, I find the neck different than my other 4 Larrivée's and I was also not pleased about the label AND I got a poor fitting flat top case, instead of an arch top we were told to expect.
The whole deal has made me less than pleased. Not at all what I expected.
I'll not be getting involved in any more *Forum guitars*.
I am still very much in awe of my VII, a 000 with mahogany B&S. I was hesitant at first to let it out of the house but now gig with it regularly. "Life is short, play the good guitar" is my new motto. My Forum VI still gets lots of play, though my OM-40M is feeling a bit neglected. The VII just has such an intoxicatingly rich voice that it's getting the most of my attention. Absolutely love it!
I got the OO with mahogany, and it is an outstanding guitar. Beautiful voice and beautiful guitar. Very comfortable; the build is great and flawless. The neck is perfect.
I also did not get the hard shell case, and the one I did get is poorly fitting. That annoys me. I do not care about the label -- I do love the soundhole cutout we received later.
I am taking jazz guitar lessons and find it is well suited for chord melody. Overall, I love it. Play it every day.

I got the lefty OO Black Walnut. Overall I'm very satisfied. The neck is just a little different from my L-03, but I like them both. Soundwise, I think it took me a little while to find the right strings and touch for it, but now that I'm set on that, it really sings with wonderful harmonics. My case is a great fit.
Don't care much about the label, but can understand why some would.
