Sometimes my love of music makes me overwhelmed by all the amazing musicians and music out in the world. Because of that, there are times when I have avoided some artists because I don't want music to be disposable and transient.  (Hope that makes sense...)
Anyway, I FINALLY am diving into Steve Goodman, even though I am a big fan of all his contemporaries.

Wow, what a voice, and what songwriting!! His ballads are so sad and beautiful.  I'm looking forward to hearing more of his music.

I love City of New Orleans, but I like the Willie Nelson version best. I have tried a few times to listen to more of his songs. Townes Van Zandt is usually my go to for folky country stuff.
