20 years ago I sold an LJ 05.I have forgotten how wonderful it sounded.Didn't need any work well a trussrod adjusted.Just I quike note.
The LJ is a rare beast from what I gather. Never seen one in the wild but, a couple times a year, my wife will remind me how disappointed she is that I sold my Larrivee J with mermaid inlay. They make a very underrated jumbo. Hope I can try an LJ someday.
I spotted a J-05 on Reverb the other day. (Columbus Ohio, as I recall.)
I've always steered clear of jumbos just from their large size. I've given up on dreads as I find them just too large and unwieldy since I only play sitting down. Are jumbos also a bit awkward under the arm and best played standing up?

I suppose it depends on the individual. I find larger guitars more comfortable while sitting because my body ends up in a more natural position. Smaller guitars require me to lurch over a bit more. Generally speaking, I think thinner bodies feel better when standing. But, people come in so many different proportions that I guess that probably varies too.
I'm a big jumbo fan.I do play sitting down, not a couch guitar but you just need to adjust.owned a J05wonderful guitar,Takamin N20 with a ceder top hog back sides,Guild JF30 the best,on loan to a friend,Guild JF30/12 string RI got played to death replace it with a MIC one just both amazing guitars.
