The Larrivee site 'history' information lists dimensions for both the LS and LSV models. While these have not been built for a number of years in regular production, the dimensions posted there are not the same. I would have thought that the 'V' version would just be the regular LS with the cutaway.
While that puzzles me, it is not the real reason I'm posting this.
Regarding the LS models that would have been built in Vancouver pre-2000, were they 12 fret or 14 fret?
I have been under the impression that they were 12 fret guitars but recently it seems the info I'm seeing is that they would have been 14 fret. Can anyone confirm one way or the other? There is no indication on the Larrivee history page either way.
Thanks and Happy New Year
Ralph
I just picked up a 1997 CS-09 (basically an LS with a cut away) and can confirm it is a 14 fretter.
I've seen some newer artist models that have 12 frets.
BTW there is an LS-09 for sale in the Chicago Craigslist you can look at.
I don't recall the build date of my Canadian LS03 (Forum III), but it is a 12 fret, as were all the run of that model.
NCTOM,
The FORUM III guitars started shipping in March 2009 according to the link Queequeg provided on the forum. Sorry I passed on the Forum III at the time but I jumped on board the Forum VI bandwagon in 2021.

Yes. I flew to Vancouver and picked up my LS-03 (Forum III) on March `9, 2009
I knew that the FIII were 12 fret and I keep looking for one but they rarely come up for sale.
Given the discrepancy on the Larrivee info site I'm wondering if the 'regular' run of LS guitars were done as 14 frets? Maybe it was just the 'custom' runs such as the Forum guitars that were done as 12 fret.
