As a friendly reminder, I received an email from Larrivee that they are having a Black Friday sale on their web site. They are offering up to 40% off on clothing, accessories and other items at their Pro Shop. They also have some great deals on "B" stock guitars including an OMV-24 at a good price. They are also offering a 50% discount to install a pickup of your choice before shipping.
I've posted this before but I upgraded the bridge pins on my Forum VI and 00-24 as a result of one of these sales and picked up some other swag over the years.
I use my black Larrivee coffee mug almost every morning. :coffee I just ordered some JCL tuners to upgrade on my Forum VII when it arrives. Good discount price!

I don't know when the sale is active but here's the link.^
They always have the best looking merch. Love the leather goods.
If you want to treat yourself to a wonderful string winder, that ebony and brass one is class. Feels smooth and solid instead of the rickety way it feels to use a plastic winder. I believe they are German-made.
I selected a BT-60 Baritone from the Black Friday B-stock listings. I'm picking it up tomorrow, since I am local to the shop.
It's a 12 fret, slotted headstock, rosewood/sitka sloped dread. I can hardly wait! This is my first Larrivee.

Wow, congrats! I'm glad I didn't browse the guitars as I would have been EXTREMELY tempted by that. A baritone is all I'm missing. Enjoy!!
I had a BT60 many years ago. As much as I liked it and played it a lot, I sold it to get another guitar.
Later, I wanted it back, but at that particular time Larrivee baritones were not in production so I bought one from another builder.
The BT60 is a wonderful instrument and always reminded me of a cello. That frequency range seems to be where I naturally resonate.
I like the baritone very much and I hope you connect with it as I have.
I have never held a baritone or jumbo guitar. With their tight waist, are they fairly comfortable? That lower bout looks monstrous to get your arm around. I think that's why I never was interested in them, to my loss.

It's a dread body. 27 inch scale.
Baritone is not the right instrument for all the songs I play but when it's a match, it is heavenly.
I am not a singer so it may sound a bit muddy while strumming, but for fingerstyle.... :thumb
Pat Metheny's Linda Manzer acoustic baritone guitar build.
I picked the Bari up yesteday. What a guitar! I never saw it before, as there was no image...it has a gorgeous gloss finish. There are no blems, so I'm pleased about that. It apparently was just an awesome Black Friday offering. Not a huge demand for bari's, is there?
It's fairly comfy sitting and playing. The shape is slope shoulder dread. The action is a bit high, but I'll deal with that later, or adapt to it. The tone is deep and rich. The fit and finish is as close to perfect as imaginable.
If you are a creative guitarist, this may inspire, and take you into new and exciting realms. My fingers find themselves just falling into ideas that accentuate the deep, beautiful, rich low tones it delivers. Happy Thanksgiving broheims!
Congratulations on your new guitar.
One thing you can count on with the Larrivee family. They don't let anything go out the door without their stamp of approval.

What a stunning guitar!! I wish you many years of happy playing! :nice guitar:
Congratulations and if it sounds as good as it looks you have have a winner! :nana_guitar
Oh, that looks amazing. Now my itch for a baritone is fully back.
Recently, I lowered the action and adjusted the truss rod. It plays much easier now, and sounds terrific! The long scale and heavy strings take a bit more effort, but you adapt quickly. Go deep my friends, it's a whole new realm waiting to be explored.

Another 'low end lover'. :thumb
Enjoy!
I spent a good hour with my baritone yesterday.
